Elizabeth P. Snelbaker, 86, of Wellsville, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Manor Care in York.
She was the wife of Donald E. Snelbaker. The couple observed their 56th wedding anniversary on Dec. 22.
Mrs. Snelbaker was a graduate of Pennsylvania State College. She was a registered dietician and was a certified elementary teacher, retired from the West Shore School District.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, George H. DeFrain; one granddaughter, Jennifer L. Stacknick (Jason); one great-grandson, Levi E. Stacknick; two brothers, William H. Colegrove of Northumberland, and James C. Peck of Media; and one sister, Marta C. Peck of York.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann P. Negley, formerly of Fenwick Island, Del.
Elizabeth had a great love for all animals and nature. She leaves behind her beloved "Shadow Pussycat."
Elizabeth loved to play the piano and sing. A few of her favorite hobbies were quilting, sewing, embroidering, knitting and crocheting.
Elizabeth was blessed in her life to have traveled many places. Her favorite place was always while being at her beloved home in South Bethany Beach. She loved the ocean and the sand and spending time with her family and loved ones.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her, but never forgotten.
The burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
