Shirley A. Lowdermilk, 84, of 110 Taylor Ave., Ridgway, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born July 10, 1929 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Donald (Bud) and Kathyrn N. (Leilous) Lowdermilk. She had resided in Ridgway all of her life and was a graduate of the Ridgway High School. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She had been employed by Quality Components for 30 years.
Shirley is survived by her sister-in-law, Marlene Lowdermilk of Ridgway; three nephews, David and his wife Missy of Wallingford, Donald and his wife Gina of Darien, Ill, and Darin and his wife Beth of Nokesville, Va; one niece, Jo and her husband Tony of Harrington, Del.; one great-niece, Rachel; and five great-nephews, Brian, David, Donald, Drew, and Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David.
Funeral and committal services for Shirley A. Lowdermilk will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Roger A. Peterson, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Thayer Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Ridgway Public Library.
