From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, the YMCA opened its doors to the public to provide an opportunity to see what the facility has to offer. The grand opening of the facility’s new Abbi’s Clubhouse an indoor children’s playground was held along with "Class blasts". The "Blasts" gave everyone a sneak peek of some of the classes that the YMCA offers in quick 20-minute blast-classes that proved quite popular. The main room of Abbi's Clubhouse features a rope and rock climbing walls, rope swings, and bouncing center. It also includes balance beams, an interactive bridge with slides and a see-saw all on a padded floor surface for toddlers and kids up to 8 years of age. The Board of Directors of the Ridgway YMCA were on hand for the Grand Opening of Abbi's Clubhouse and the "Blast-Class" offerings on Saturday in Ridgway.
