The Ridgway-Elk County Chamber of Commerce Youth Development Committee held their third B2B Meet and Greet.
This month's casual networking event took place on Wednesday, March 6 with Rachel Buehler Shaffer at Youngs Family Billiards, 253 Main Street in Ridgway. Buehler spoke about both of her businesses, Outliner Media and Rachel Shaffer Photography.
The Business to Business monthly meetings are a great opportunity for young student members to gain advice from experienced business owners and entrepreneurs, but also a way to highlight specialized services and businesses that are located right in Elk County.
Rachel Shaffer is the founder and Creative Director of Outliner Media & Graphics, a full source multimedia agency. Outliner creates print and web advertising, illustrations, marketing, and professional media for multiple businesses and individuals. Additionally, she shoots editorial, commercial, and individual photography.
Outliner Media & Graphics is located in Ridgway PA and serves local clients as well as nationwide and international clientele.
Founded in  2011, Outliner takes a project from start to finish. For example, they can create and publish a website with photography of a client's place of business and its services, products, and staff, write and publish the content to fit the business’s style and goals. And finally, we can make the website functional, beautiful, and accessible on all devices.
Rachel Shaffer Photography captures memories in the Western Pennsylvania region. From engagements to weddings, newborns to seniors, birthdays to reunions and any moment you want to commemorate.
Shaffer's motto is "We take time to help you remember what matters while you enjoy the moments."
Shaffer explained how she began her company after taking a 16-month course. Instead of racking up massive student loan debts she completed the courses and got to work. Always an artist and photographer her companies take two things she loves to do and give her an income stream while allowing her to be creative.
"Most importantly, I love what I do. It’s my passion and a calling to each of our team members," said Shaffer. "Outliner is excited at the opportunity to serve businesses and individuals in this creative industry."
