Committee forms to end speeding on 219

BROCKPORT – Brockport resident Daniel Lines addressed speeding concerns on state Route 219 during the Horton Township Board of Supervisors meeting Wednesday night."We want to give you gentlemen a heads up to let you know that our committee [Concerned Citizens of Brockport for the Safety and Health of Our Citizens] is going to push forward on this," Lines said.Lines distributed a letter to the board, secretary Dennis Thompson and the general public detailing a recent incident that occurred to a Brockport resident.According to the letter, Heather Reckner of Brockport was attempting to make a left turn into her driveway when a vehicle passed her at an excessive rate of speed in the left lane.Lines said Pa. State Police Trooper Armanini was called to the scene."I'm going to write an official letter to [Senator Joe] Scarnati, [State Rep. Matt] Gabler, PennDOT and the state police," Lines said.
