The Elk County Council on the Arts (ECCOTA) is pleased to announce it will present three “Heart in the Arts” awards during its Annual Gala Fundraiser on Feb. 24. This is the seventh year for the award presentation. The Council’s Board of Directors selects honorees to recognize their contributions to the arts in Elk County.
The awards, founded on ECCOTA’s mission statement, include three categories: experiences, opportunity and support. The 2018 honorees include: the Art in the Wilds festival for providing experiences in the arts, Dan Bjorkquist for providing educational opportunity and advice and Katie Weidenboerner for her support of musicians, artists, performers and writers in Elk County and beyond.
