Jacob hears cases in St. Marys court

The following recently had cases before District Judge Mark Jacob of St. Marys:

-Duane James Townsend, 60, of North Chesterfield, Virginia, was held for court on felony charges of accidents involving death or personal injury, homicide by vehicle; a misdemeanor charge of involuntary manslaughter; and summary offenses of failing to stop and give/information render aid, careless driving, and passing left of a pedal cycle. Bail was set at $30,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Andrew James Beck, 28, of Emporium, was waived for court on felony charges of robbery-threatening immediate serious injury, robbery-inflicting threatening immediate serious bodily injury, robbery-taking property from others; five misdemeanor counts of unlawful restraint-serous bodily injury, five counts of false imprisonment, five counts of simple assault and one charge of defiant trespassing-posted property. Bail was set at $75,000 monetary, straight cash and changed to $50,000 non-monetary, unsecured. Beck was remanded to the Elk County Prison as he was unable to post bail.

-Gary John DeFrain, Jr., 24, of Byrnedale, was waived for court on a misdemeanor charge of use/possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,500 non-monetary, unsecured. In a separate incident DeFrain was waived for court on a felony charge off intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not required; and misdemeanor charges of use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and retail theft-taking merchandise. Bail was set at $5,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Robert Quay Dippold, 59, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeanor charge of DUI general impairment-first offense and a summary offense of careless driving. A misdemeanor charge of DUI with the highest rate of BAC .16+ was withdrawn. Bail was set at $2,500 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Jennifer Merritt Mohney, 43, of Penfield, was waived for court on misdemeanor charges of DUI general impairment-first offense, DUI with a blood alcohol content of.08-.10, DUI with a high rate of BAC of .10-.16, and DUI with the highest rate of BAC of .16+, endangering the welfare of a child-parent or guardian commits offense, and summary offense of driving an unregistered vehicle, careless driving, and disregard for a traffic signal. Bail was set at $2,500 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Jacqueline P. Guido, 43, of DuBois, was waived for court on a felony charge of retail theft-taking merchandise. Bail was set at $10,000 monetary, straight cash and changed to $10,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Jeremiah William Gallaher, 38, of Clearfield, was waived for court on a misdemeanor charge of retail theft-taking merchandise. Bail was set at $2,500 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Joshua Adam Miller, of St. Marys, was waived for court on misdemeanor charges of DUI of a controlled substance-impaired ability first offense, endangering the welfare of a child-parent/guardian commits offense, and summary offenses of disregard for a traffic lane and vehicle registration suspended. Bail was set at $5,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Kim Alan Roberts, 61, of Driftwood, was waived for court on a misdemeanor charge of DUI-general impairment first offense and a summary offense of driving an unregistered vehicle. A misdemeanor charge of DUI-general impairment with a blood alcohol content of .10-.16 was withdrawn. Bail was set at $5,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Ariana Michael Schloder, 27, of Kersey, was waived for court on felony charges of hindering apprehension/prosecution-harboring or concealing, hindering apprehension/prosecution-providing aid, and two counts of hindering apprehension/prosecution-false into to law enforcement officer. Bail was set at $25,000 non-monetary, unsecured, changed to $25,000 monetary, straight cash then changed to $5,000 non-monetary, unsecured. Schloder was remanded to the Elk County Prison as she was unable to post bail.
In a separate incident Schloder was waived for court on a felony charge of retail theft-taking merchandise and a misdemeanor charge of defiant trespassing-actual communication. Bail was set at $5,000, non-monetary, unsecured.

-Richard Merat, of Force, was waived for court on misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and disorderly conduct-obscene language/gestures. Felony charges of intimidating a witness-withholding testimony, intent to intimidate a witness-absent from legal prosecution, and retaliation against a witness/victim were withdrawn. Bail was set at $25,000 monetary, straight cash. Merat was remanded to the Elk County Prison as he was unable to post bail.

-Brittany Ann Glatt, 25, of St. Marys, was waived for court on felony charges of conspiracy to manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver, manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, dealing in proceeds from unlawful activities with intent to promote, and criminal use of a communication facility. Bail was set at $7,500 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Ryan Joseph Michuck, 24, of St. Marys, was waived for court on misdemeanor charges of DUI-controlled substance Schedule 1-impaired ability first offense, DUI-controlled substance Schedule 2 or 3 first offense, DUI-controlled substance-Metabolite first offense, intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not regulated, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and a summary offense of operating/permission with unsafe equipment. Bail was set at $3,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-James R. McCarthy, 36, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeanor charge of use/possession of drug paraphernalia. A misdemeanor charge of marijuana-small amount for personal use. Bail was set at $2,500 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Jeffrey Allen Lechner, 51, of St. Marys, was waived for court on misdemeanor charges of DUI-high rate of BAC .10-.16, DUI general impairment, and a summary offense of driving an unregistered vehicle. Bail was eat at $2,500 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Daniel Joseph Serge, 38, of Byrnedale, was waived for court on misdemeanor charges of theft of services-acquisition of services and theft by deception-fails to correct a false impression. Bail was set at $3,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Cruz Aaron Carpin, 28, of St. Marys, was waived for court on misdemeanor charges of DUI-controlled substance-Schedule 1 first offense, DUI-controlled substance-Schedule 2 or 3 first offense, DUI-controlled substance-Metabolite first offense, DUI-controlled substance-impaired ability first offense, two counts of intent to posses a controlled substance, marijuana-small amount for personal use, use/possession drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Colleen Marie White, 25, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeanor charge of DUI-general impairment first offense and summary offenses of driving an unregistered vehicle, failure to carry a license, driving at a safe speed, operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility, failure to keep right, careless driving, accident damage to unattended vehicle or property, restrictions on alcoholic beverages, and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection. A misdemeanor charge of DUI-highest BAC .16+ first offense was withdrawn. Bail was set at $5,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Jason Jude Smith, 46, of St. Marys, was waived for court on felony charges of two counts of manufacturing, delivering, and possession a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver, or possess, conspiracy to manufacture, deliver, and posses a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver, or posses, criminal use of a communication facility, and dealing in proceeds from unlawful activities with intent to promote; misdemeanor charges of two counts off use/possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of intent to posses a controlled substance by a person not regulated. Bail was set at $10,000 monetary, straight cash.

-Justin Michael Tami, 34, of St. Marys, was waived for court on felony charges of two counts of
manufacturing, delivering, and possession a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver, or possess, three counts of conspiracy to manufacture, deliver, and possess a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver, or possess, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child-parent/guardian commits the crime, criminal use of a communication facility; and misdemeanor charges of four counts of intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not regulated, and a charge of use/possession drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $50,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Osvaldo Jose Montalvo-Santiago, 31, of Kersey, was waived for court on misdemeanor charges of criminal solicitation-indecent assault of person less than 13 years of age and corruption of minors. Bail was set at $7,500 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Joshua F. Meyer, 34, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeanor charge of DUI-general impairment first offense and summary offenses of careless driving, restrictions on alcoholic beverages, and driving an unregistered vehicle. Misdemeanor charges of DUI-with a BAC of .8-.10, DUI-with a high rate of BAC from .10-.16, and DUI-with the highest BAC rate of .16+, were withdrawn. Bail was set at $2,500 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Lorraine Loren Krise, 31, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeanor charge of retail theft-taking merchandise. Bail was set at $2,500 non-monetary, unsecured.

-Brent Allan Krieg, 62, of Erie, was waived for court on a misdemeanor charge of DUI-controlled substance-impaired ability first offense and summary offenses of careless driving, turning movements and required signal, and backing up vehicle improperly. Misdemeanor charges of DUI controlled substance-Schedule 1 first offense, DUI-controlled substance-Schedule 2 or 3 first offense, DUI-controlled substance-Metabolite, DUI-controlled substance-combination of alcohol and drugs first offense, were all withdrawn. Bail was set at $3,000 non-monetary, unsecured.
