Lady Elkers earn hard fought, 36-31, win over Elk County Catholic

Gabbi Rohr scores a bucket during Ridgway's, 36-31, home win over Elk County Catholic Thursday night. The Lady Elkers battled back from an 18-13, halftime deficit to run their mark to 8-4. The loss dropped the Lady Crusaders to 8-5. Julie Peterson led Ridgway with 10 points. Rohr and Lindsay Steis each scored nine points in the win. ECC's Taylor Newton scored a game-high 18 points. Ridgway finished the week 2-1. They defeated Johnsonburg Monday and were beaten by DuBois Central Catholic Tuesday. It will be another three-game week for the Lady Elkers who will host Port Allegany next Monday, Curwensville Tuesday and play at DCC Friday.
