Linda M. Gigliotti

Linda M. Gigliotti, 65, of 408 High St., Johnsonburg, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 19, 2013, at UMPC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness. She was born May 22, 1947 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Bronislaw and Anna Simchick Golebieski. On Oct. 30, 1976 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married David Gigliotti, who survives. She resided in Johnsonburg all her life. She graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1965 and Villa Maria College in 1972. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church where she was a past Catechism teacher and Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Cursillo Movement and a member of the PSEA Retired. She was also a recreational soccer coach and referee. She enjoyed reading, ceramics, and quilting. She had been employed at the Johnsonburg Area School District at the Elementary School for 35 years, retiring in 2009. She was a Title I Math teacher. She also taught at Holy Rosary School for four years and worked at Stackpole Carbon Co. for three years. In addition to her husband at home, she is survived by a son, Timothy D. Gigliotti and his wife Theresa of Downington; a daughter, Anna F. Gigliotti of Johnsonburg; two grandchildren, Dominic and Juliana Gigliotti; two sisters, Patricia Golebieski of Johnsonburg and Mrs. Norman "Deb" Haight of Johnsonburg; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Gigliotti in infancy; two brothers, William and John Golebieski; and six sisters, Helen "Marge" Szczotka, Rita Niedzwecki, Jean Montgomery, Regina Golebieski, Lois Bevacqua, and Clara Golebieski. A Mass of Christian Burial for Linda M. Gigliotti will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg. Friends will be received at the Anthony F.
