PW Tech demonstrates new technology for wastewater treatment plants.

With aging equipment in place at both the Ridgway and St. Mary's wastewater treatment plants, both agencies are facing repairing the legacy equipment or switching to a more modern process when it comes to sludge treatment and disposal.
Both facilities have the traditional belt filter process in place currently but Process Wastewater Technologies LLC has a new system that may provide better results with substantial cost savings.
Typically, sludge is collected in holding tanks after the full treatment at the plants. It is then fed into belt filter presses to be dried before the ending sludge is transported to local landfills for containment.
