Rams earn AML playoff berth with win over Kane

The Johnsonburg Rams clinched second place in the AML North with a, 65-50, home win over Kane Monday night. The victory upped Johnsonburg to 15-6 on the season and 8-2 in AML play. The Rams will face South Division champ Ridgway Thursday in the semi-finals. North champ Elk County Catholic will host Brockway. The winners will meet Saturday for the title. Eric Christoff scored 21 points to lead the Rams. Gabe Watts (18) and Austin Green (16) also finished in double-digits. Chad Greville scored 21 points and Carson Whiteman 14 to pace the Wolves who are 13-8. Johnsonburg ends the regular season Tuesday night in Brookville. Kane travels to Cranberry. Both will be competing in the District 9 playoffs. Johnsonburg in Class A and Kane in Class AAA. Playoff seeding has not yet been determined.
