Like other forms of cancer, childhood cancer has an international symbol, the gold ribbon. Student cancer survivor group Go For the Gold members and their teachers gathered donations through sales of gold ribbons to raise money for the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Hematology/Oncology wards for use in finding cures for childhood cancers. Here the students, all cancer survivors themselves present School Board President Aimee Kemick with a check for $2,200 to be donated to the Children's Hospital.
