The Ridgway Water, Sewer, Refuse and Streets Committee met to discuss Recycling Program

In true Ridgway fashion the Ridgway Water, Sewer, Refuse and Streets Committee met to discuss the Recycling Program in a lively and spirited discussion on Tuesday evening. Ridgway Borough Council Members Ron Burkett, Steve Caggeso and Borough Manager Paul McCurdy made up the Committee members present with  Ridgway Township Supervisors Chris Klase and Mildred Bowers present as well as the Township shares the cost of the program. Ridgway Borough Council member Abbi Peters and Code Enforcement Officer Michael Handley were also present in the audience along with retired Council Member Dale Anderson and Elk County Solid Waste Authority Chairman Tom Buck. Elk County Commissioner Joe Daghir was also present.  Many members of the public also attended.  The discussion to identify modifications to the Elk County Solid Waste Authorities Recycling program to make it successful in the present recycling economy lasted until 6 p.m.
