Sheri R. Greak

Sheri R. Greak, 66, of 815 Middletown Rd., Lake City, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, at Ridgmont Assisted Living Facility, after a lengthy illness. She was born June 6, 1946, in McKeesport, the daughter of Arthur B. and Ethel R. Snyder. She married Leonard G. Greak (PSP), he predeceased her on April 29, 2003. She graduated from Holy Ghost Academy, Mercy Hospital (Pittsburgh) and Hananaham (Philadelphia) with a degree in Nursing. Mrs. Greak worked for Equifax as head of their nursing program in Harrisburg and Dallas, Texas. She worked for Dr. Michael Hall as Office RN for five years. She worked for the Office of Human Services as Protective Care for the elderly, and the Mental Health for the involuntary commitment cases. She loved going to Red Lobster with her grandsons for any special occasion. She was proud of her grandchildren’s accomplishments in school on projects they completed. She loved pet-sitting for her friends and going to the YMCA to work out with friends. She had her first sky-diving experience at age 62 with her companion, John Billick. She is survived by three daughters and five sons, Kristin Eshbach (Jason) of Ridgway, Shelly Wagner of Reading, Dawn Kinker of Florida, Michael Greak of Carlisle, Daniel Greak of Whitfield, Frank Greak of Whitfield, Keith Greak of Florida, Donald Greak of Whitfield; and by 18 grandchildren, Danielle, Brooke, Logan, Jason, Josh, William, Autumn, Austin, Aidan, Arin, Michael, Crystal, Ryleah Greak, Gage, Cory and Blane Eshbach, Elizabeth and Isabella Kruntzer; and by three great-grandchildren, Preston, Ethan, and Renae Greak. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and by a daughter, Shane Hill. Memorial services for Sheri Greak will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment was in Lake City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements, are under the direction of the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Office of Human Services, or to Hospice, or to the YMCA or to CAPSEA.
