Special Olympics Christmas Party held Saturday

St. MARYS – The Elk/Cameron Special Olympics held their annual Christmas Party Saturday in the cafeteria of the Elk County Catholic High School.
A large contingent of athletes, their family, friends and volunteers dined on a wonderful meal provided by the St. Marys Moose Club, danced to music of the band “Crossfire,” and enjoyed a visit from Santa Clause.
“It’s a beautiful day. The facility is awesome. We really appreciate Elk County Catholic letting us have this here. We had to move things at the last second and they bent over backwards. The Moose organization really stepped up and brought all their stuff here and put on a fantastic lunch. The band is doing a tremendous job as always. They are our normal band for this. The athletes seem to be having a great time, especially with Santa Clause showing up,” said Elk/Cameron County Special Olympics Director Mike Kronenwetter during the party.
