Spring sports on hold due to school closings

Staff Writer

There was no running, jumping, throwing, hitting, batting, and serving Friday due to the man-dated two-week Pennsylvania school closings caused by the nationwide spreading COVID-19 Coronavirus. March games, meets, and matches will have to be made up if or when the green light is given.
For the Ridgway and Johnsonburg athletes that co-op for the Rams in track and field, tennis, softball, and baseball there will be no practice until the schools are reopened and if or when the PIAA decides to move ahead with the spring sports. Kane sports include track and field, baseball, softball, and skeet shooting. The PIAA has postponed the remainder of the state basketball championships. They hope to resume them but that has not yet been determined.
