Supervisors support bridge work

RIDGWAY TWP. — They have a quote and they're behind it — now it's up to the county.
At its regular meeting Tuesday night, the Ridgway Township Board of Supervisors approved a resolution supporting repair work on Mohan Run bridge.
An accompanying quote sought by the township from Steger Masonry for the work totalled approximately $8,000.
While supervisors accepted the quote, the final decision on whether the project will go forward rests with Elk County Commissioners, as the township is seeking to fund the project through Act 13 state impact fund monies.
Changing speed limits and posting associated signs on Kemmer Road was approved. Supervisors approved drafting an ordinance and advertising it for adoption which would post speed limits on the township portion of the road at 25 miles-per-hour.
