Wickett enters District 9 wrestling championships as top seed

Ridgway's Jake Wickett has earned the top-seed for Friday and Saturday's District 9 Class AA Individual Wrestling Championships. Wickett is the number-one seed at 152-pounds. He enters the event with a 26-6 record. Also earning Top-8 seeds for the Elkers are, Tyler Merritt (5th, 132), Jake Kunselman (6th, 285), Gary Emerick (6th, 138), Joe Miller (7th, 170), and Hunter Wall (8th, 160). Nine Johnsonburg Rams are seeded in the Top-8. 160-pounder Cole Caislio is the number-two seed, three-seeds include, Wyatt Shaffer (106), Nolan Shaffer (132), Dalton Stahli (138), Kaden Dennis (145), Aiden Zimmerman (152), Isaac Zimmerman (170), and Tyler Watts (182). Collin Porter is the fourth-seed at 120-pounds and Cole Norlin the sixth seed at 126-pounds. The Championships will be held at the Clearfield High School.
